Leading two make a big gap

There were no changes in position for the top nine teams tonight. Of the top four, only Pin pals slipped up - losing 4-8 to Young Tigers. With the others all winning 8-4 this means that Team Areiel are now ahead by nine points and Lightning Strikes close the gap by four points to twelve.

Merv Farrow and Eric Parmintuan were top scorers with 545 but Merv was best with handicap, 656 while Eric had a 626. Terry Emmony had the best game, 212 (249). Merv also beat his high scores for the season; his high game was 14 higher at 211 and his series was 43 higher than before.

James Mullarkey improved his high series by 30 to 499 (622) and Karen Davies beat her previous best this season by 2 to 433 (613).

The average scratch game this week was 147.9 and the league to date rose by 0.1 to 146.5
The average scratch series this week was 443.6 (last week 456.7)
