The Chuckle Brothers rise two places to top the league after a 12-0 walkover and now have a two point lead over Flintstones. Brothers Grimm drop down to third, on pinfall, a further three points behind after losing badly to Duo.

Good scores were rare again this week: only John Bryer scored over 500 and he also had the only game over 200. Nicola Rye Holland hit the equal best handicap game (195, 232) Martin Cook also scored 232 with handicap.

Harry Hargreaves had the best handicap series; a new best for the season by 27 pins to 492 (618 with handicap). Martin Cook improved his high game by 9 pins to 197 (232). The Turkeys head all of the team high scores this week.

Rich Lester got a 5-7 split.

The league scratch average fell again, this time by 0.3 to 138.9

After a 12-0 win over theOwls, Brothers Grimm open up a five point lead over new second place Flintstones who jump three places. Chuckle Brothers are the new third place team, also rising three places, after a 10-2 win over Turkeys. Last weeks second and third place teams, Detoxmyflipflops and Hit & Miss, both lost 0-12 and drop three places.

Another low scoring week this week but two bowlers scored over 500. Nicola Rye Holland top scored with 520 (637 with handicap) including the only 200+ game tonight. Both scores were new season best scores for Nicola. John Bryer had the only other 500+ game. Keith MacFarlane was second in the high scores with handicap tables this week.

Donna King dealt with a difficult 3-9-10 split. Matt Barton got a 5-7 split.


The league scratch average fell by another 0.4 to 139.2

Brothers Grimm stay top, on higher pinfall only,despite losing badly to Hit & Miss. Last week's top three teams all lost 2-10 tonight while the following teams made up some ground. Hit & Miss move up to third with the same points but with slightly worse pinfall. After a quarter of the league, only four points separate first and seventh place.

A very low scoring week: there were no 500 series or 200 games. John Bryer came closest with 483 (528 with handicap) and Brian Grayson had the best handicap series, 602 (467 scratch). Martin Cook and Mick Freeborn had the best scratch game; 177 while Nathan Ferrie had the best handicap game with 223 (175 scratch).

Richard Lester was top scorer at both scratch and handicap, with a 562 series (655 with handicap) which also had the best game, 213 (244). Brian Grayson hit the next best handicap series, an improvement of 38 on his previous best with 478 (628)

Ten bowlers improved their high series this week, the biggest improvements being by Barbara Lewis(+29 to 430, 604), Carrie Bryer (+26 to 390, 576), Nathan Ferrie (+17 to 436, 586) and Alan Barton (+16 to 476, 617)

Duo were the second team with an over 1,000 scratch series for the season, equalling Brothers Grimm's 1,010 and setting a new high handicap series for the league of 1,256.

Detoxmyflipflops stayed at the top of the table despite only drawing against Glitter Girls. Their lead is cut to just one point though from Flintstones who move up to second after an 11-1 win over Lightning Strikes. Other teams towards the top of the league also won and only three points cover the top five places.

A low scoring week this week; only John Bryer (561, 606) and Nicola Rye Holland (500 - her highest series this league, 617) scored more than 500 scratch. John also had the only game over 200 with 202 (217).

Chris Woodward improved his high series by 48 to 448 (616), Liz Lake improved by 27 to 443 (581) and Donna Smith continues to improve, up 15 to 348 (570)

The league scratch average fell sharply again by 1.2 to 139.1

Detoxmyflipflops become the fourth team to top the table in five weeks after beating former winners Lightning Strikes by 11-1. Brothers Grimm also won 11-1 against the holders RTFB and rise to second place, six points behind. Flintstones move up a place to third, level on points but with a lower pinfall.

Only two 500+ series and three 200+ games games tonight. John Bryer was top scorer with 530 (575 with handicap) including a 201 (216) game. Brothers Grimm had the best series, a new high scratch score for the league, 1,010 (1202).

There were new high series scores for Terry Emmony 524 (659), Mick King 492 (591), Nathan Ferrie 419 (572) and Donna Smith 333 (522)

The X-Men win again to return to the top of the table for a second time. After a 12-0 win over last weeks leaders RTFB, Detoxmyflipflops rise to second place with the same points but a lower pinfall. New Team Chuckle Brothers climb to third with an 8-0 win over Mac Too.

Steve Emmony was top scorer this week with 522 (582 with handicap) which included a double in the last frame of the match against Glitter Girls to take four points. Mick King had the best game; 209 (233). Duo top all of the team high scores this week.

X-Men's stay at the top lasted only a week as RTFB overtake them with a 10-2 win over Duo. Flintstones rise two places to second after their 10-2 win over FBI.

Keith MacFarlane was top scorer with a 546 series (639 with handicap) which was a bit disappointing after a 211 (242) and 208 start. Mac Too top all of the high team scores tonight.


Terry Highton was successful with a 5-7 split. Carrie Bryer spared a 5-8-10 split

The X-Men rise to the top of the table after their second win. They have a four point lead over RTFB and FBI who are level on points in second place.

Carl Briggs (FBI) was top scorer tonight with a new personal best game and series. With a 233 (274 with handicap) game and 574 (697) series his handicap scores will take some beating.


The league scratch average fell to 143.4

The Cousins and X-Men set the early pace with 12-0 wins over Dominoes and Glitter Girls. Detoxmyflipflops (the Bryers) and FBI are third and fourth after 10-2 wins.

Steve Emmony heads all the high score lists after a 584 (674 with handicap) series which included the best game of the night, 229 (259). Dale Cousins also had his best game for some time with 574 (652) with a 224 (250) game. Carl Briggs and James Ferrie of FBI both had new personal best games tonight; 202 (243) and 203 (255) and their team series with handicap of 498 will take some beating in the rest of the league.


Anita Highton was successful with a 5-7 split.
