After several back matches have been played and most teams having had their bye weeks, X-Men are clear leaders by 14 points from new second place Duo. Chuckle Brothers are three more points behind Duo but have a game in hand. Brothers Grimm drop to fourth after two more heavy losses.

John Bryer was top scorer from the 11 matches included this week with 560 (617 with handicap) including the only game over 200; 211 (230). Brian Grayson had the best handicap game with 239 (196 scratch) and Paul Hurst hit the best handicap series; 638 (503 scratch).

Remarkably, nobody improved their high game or high series scores.

Amongst several inspired and skilful split conversions, Steve Emmony dealt with a 3-7-10 and a 5-10.

The Chuckle Brothers regained some form tonight with a 10-2 win over Hit & Miss to extend their lead to five points from X-Men. Brothers Grimm stay in third, another four points behind having drawn a close game throughout with Duo. The top six teams all stay in the same positions.
Another low scoring week with nobody hitting either a 500 series or a 200 game. Rich Lester was top scorer with 491 (578 with handicap) Terry Highton had the best game, 193 (229)
Mark Hollis (FBI) improved his high series by 24 to 433 and Lew Ashenden (Flintstones) also had a new high series with 419.

The Chuckle Brothers hold on to top spot for the fifth week despite their loss of form and a 12-0 loss to the Turkeys tonight. With X-Men being held to a draw by Duo, they could only close the gap to three points. Brothers Grimm also move closer with a 10-2 result in a back match. Glitter Girls keep fourth and Mac Too are the only change in the top five, moving ahead of Duo.

Richard Lester hit a respectable 559 (649 with handicap) to lead the high score lists. Steve Emmony was next best with 524 (611) but had the best game; 213 (242). Duo top all of the high team score lists.

No change in positions in the top five teams this week. Chuckle Brothers had a narrow 7-5 win over Detox but X-Men and Brothers Grimm both drew their matches. Glitter Girls had their game postponed and Duo retain fifth place in spite of losing 0-12.

Another low scoring week with only Steve Emmony reaching the 500 level with 533 (623 with handicap). Steve also had the best scratch game, 187 (217) and Mick Freeborn improved his high game for this league to 184 (226 - the best handicap game of the night)

In another match with an usual number of splits, (Hit & Miss v Brothers Grimm) Liz Lake was successful with a 5-7.

Chuckle Brothers slipped up tonight against an in-form Duo, losing 2-10. They keep top spot, by eight points, from new second place X-Men who took all of the points from PinPals. The other Brothers are poised in third, another six points behind but with a game in hand and having had their 'bye' week.

Some scores in the low 500s this week: Merv Farrow had the best scratch score with 514 (628 with handicap) with John Bryer on 513 (567). Simon Bird (FBI) had his best series in the league with 487 (649) which included his first 200+ game in the league; 205 (259). Both handicap scores were the best this week. Tony Pearce hit his first 200 game for some time with the best game in the league this week; 209 (258).

Tony also improved his high series for this league by 24 pins to 486 (633)

Chuckle Brothers move to 17 points clear of new second place Glitter Girls after thay took ten points from The Owls. Brothers Grimm, who had a postponed match, and X-Men are another point behind in third and fourth. Both leading teams have yet to have their Bye week however.

Finally, two players beat the 500 scratch series level; John Bryer returned to some form with 528 (582 with handicap) and Mick King scored 519 (627). Well done to Donna Smith who had her best ever series and game tonight to head the high handicap score lists. Her 439 (637) series was 38 higher than her previous best this season and her 176 (242) game was 14 higher.

Mick King and Liz Lake, in the same match, converted 5-10 splits.

Taking advantage of Brothers Grimm's bye week, the other brothers, Chuckle, move to the top with an 8-4 win over Fintstones and now head the table by eight points. The Glitter Girls slip another place to fourth, being replaced in third by X-Men who are level on points with Brothers Grimm.

For the second week, even more unusually, nobody reached 500 or 200 for high series and game. Richard Lester almost made it with a 498 (588 with handicap) and Rose Barton wasn't far behind with 491 (599) including the best game tonight, 192 (228). Ray Relfer had a 610 handicap series (448 scratch) to top that list and Anita Highton hit a 231 handicap game (177 scratch) on her way to her best series of the season.
