After an 8-4 win over X-Men Dominoes extend their lead at the top of the table to eight points over new second place Duo who took all the points from the Turkeys tonight. Brothers Grimm keep third place in spite of losing 8-4 to the Owls. Men Behaving Badly drop two places to fourth and are now 14 points behind the leaders.

Merv Farrow was top scorer with 547 (646 with handicap) after bowling consistently throughout and without any 200 games. Nicola Rye-Holland was next best with 539 (638) including one of the three 200 games tonight.

Well done to Mary Grayson who (against Brothers Grimm) hit her best series for some years: 533 (686 - the second best of the league so far). Tim Hill scored his first 500 series in this league with 524 (656) including the best scratch game of the night; 210 (254)

A good night for the ladies; apart from Mary, Rose Barton, Diane MacFarlane, Liz Lake and Carrie Bryer all had new high series tonight.

The league scratch average went up this week by 0.3 to 145.0

Dominoes leap back to the top of the table having won 12-0 against Lightning Strikes and now have a six point lead over Men Behaving Badly. Brothers Grimm, last weeks leaders, drop to third place one point behind MBB and five in front of Duo in fourth.

Alan Barton had his first 500 game for a few weeks and was top scorer this week with 530 (611 with handicap). Gary Wileman was next best with 508 (625) - his first 500 series this league and including a personal best game of 232 (271) containing eight strikes.

Mary Grayson had her best series since returning after a broken arm: 39 higher at 428 (590). Adam Holland also improved his best series, by 11 to 454 (592). Kim Stone and Tony Pearce both had new high games this week.
5-7 split
Martin Cook dealt with a 5-10 split and Terry Highton cleaned up a 1-2-6-10.

Men Behaving Badly had a short stay at the top of the table losing 2-10 and dropping to fourth place. Brothers Grimm jump back top the top after winning 11-1, leap frogging Dominoes who drew against Scotch Missed and stay second.

Once again there were few high scores; John Bryer was top scorer with 538 (619 with handicap added) with Rose Barton next on 528 (636) - her best series in this league which also included her first 200 game so far; 200 (236). Martin Cook hit his first 200 game this season and the best game of the league to date: 235 (268).

Graham Lewis and Carrie Bryer both improved their scratch high series again this week..

Dominoes recovered some form to beat Mac Too by 10-2 but it wasn't enough to prevent Men Behaving Badly from climbing to the top of the table having completed their game in hand. They lead by two points from Dominoes and by six to Brothers Grimm and Lightning Strikes in joint third place.

Very few high scores this week; Steve Emmony had the best series with 513 (603 with handicap added). Well done to Tony King who had a lifetime best game tonight of 220 (277 - the best handicap series of this league). With partner Gary Wileman also scoring well, the team tops the team high scores lists.

Phil Highton, Carrie Bryer and Tony Pearce hit new scratch high series tonight.

In spite of losing 0-12 to the Young Ones, Dominoes keep hold of top spot by two points from Lightning Strikes who could only draw tonight against Men Behaving Badly. PinPals and Brothers Grimm keep their positions at third and fourth in spite of losing 4-8 tonight. The Young Ones jump from 10th to fifth.

Nicola Rye-Holland had an excellent night, scoring the third best series of the season so far - 570 (672 with handicap) and the best game of the season, 237 (271). The Young Ones were top scorers in all of the team lists as well.

Lesley Reeday scored her best series of the league so far; 507, 125 higher than her previous best. Richard Lester and Steve Emmony both had their first 500 series of this league and eight other players improved their high series.

5-7 splitHarry Hargreaves converted a 5-7 split. Terry Emmony got a similar 5-7-9 split and Terry Highton was successful with a 3-7-10.

Dale Cousins, playing his first game for Brothers Grimm, was top scorer with 550 (586 with handicap), one of only two 500 series tonight. Anita Highton improved her best series by 74 pins to 474 and had the best handicap series of the week, 639. Rose Barton had her first 500 series of this league with 509 (632). Merv Farrow scored the only 200 game this week, 218 (247).

After one week in mid-table, Dominoes jump back to the top after easily beating league leaders Brothers Grimm by 10-2. Last weeks top four teams won only six points between them giving Dominoes an easy path back to the top.
Alan Barton returned to normal form just in time to play Bros Grimm, scoring the first 600 scratch series of the league. His 607 (712 with handicap) included games of 202 and 214 (249) and was 135 higher than his previous high series in this league.
Terry Highton scored 545 (659), an improvement of 54 on his previous best and Nicola Rye-Holland improved her best series by 90 pins to 544 (667)
