Congratulations to The Dominoes who did enough on position night in drawing with second place Your Balls to confirm their top spot in the league. Third and fourth, Self Inflicted and X Factor, also drew and so the top four places are unchanged from last week.

Top scorer this week was John Lyons who beat his previous best series by 41 in scoring 571 (670 with handicap) and his best game by 11 to 212 (245). John Bryer also had his best game and series of the league; 219 (248) and 563 (650). Neil Taylor finally had a 200 game in this league with a 209 (242).

The league scratch average fell slightly to end at 146.5.

Dominoes consolidated their position as leaders tonight and increased their margin over second place to seven points. New second place Your Balls jump three places by beating Self Inflicted, last week's second. With only position night to come however, they must beat Dominoes next week by 10-2 or better to win the league.

Well done to Richard Springthorpe who hit a purple patch in game three tonight with 243 (291 with handicap) the third best scratch game and second best handicap game of the league. Richard improved his high game by 60 and high series by 86 to reach 526 (670 - second best in the league). Diane MacFarlane again improved her best series, this week by 8 to 465 (606).

The league scratch average improved slightly to 146.6.

Dominoes return to the top of the table for the first time since week one, having now played their postponed game and picking up 10 points against second place Self Inflicted. Dominoes lead by three points from Self Inflicted and seven from Duo who slip back to third after losing to The Owls .

For the first time for some weeks Terry Damm found the spot and was top scorer with 539, a new high for the season, (656 with handicap). Only one 200+ game again this week - by Brian Grayson with a new high for the season, 211 (249). Other bowlers with new high scores were Diane MacFarlane, +2 to 457 (601) and John Bryer +4 to 537 (627).

The league scratch average improved slightly to 146.5.

In a week badly affected by postponed matches, in particular the one between first and second - Self Inflicted and Dominoes, Duo jump from fourth to first with a 10-2 win over last weeks third placed Your Balls.

Another low scoring week; only three 500+ series and one 200+ game. Harry Hargreaves was top scorer with a new personal high game and series for this league (+31 to 528 (636 with handicap) and +6 to 197 (233)) Richard Lester and Terry Highton returned to form with 500 series.

Kim Stone and Diane MacFarlane both converted 4-7-10 splits.

Self Inflicted rise to the top of the table for their second spell as leaders after beating former leaders The Owls. Dominoes rise two places to second after scraping past Brothers Grimm 10-2 and last weeks leaders Your Balls fall back to third after losing out to Mac Too. Still a wide open league though with only six points between first and fourth.

Another week without any exceptional scores: there were ony four 500+ series and no games over 200. John Bryer top scored with 526 (619 with handicap) with Keith MacFarlane just behind on with a new high series for this league, 525 (645). Not quite the heroics of last week but Rose Barton's good form continues with 519 tonight (618)

Paul Simmons was the only other player with a new personal high for the league - +6 for a 178 game (229)

The league scratch average finally improved, by 0.2, to 146.9

Well done to Rose Barton (Dominoes) who scored a lifetime best tonight with a 255 game (293 with handicap) containing seven strikes. With other games of 152 and 183, Rose was only 10 pins off a 600 scratch series and she goes straight to the top of all the high score lists for the league so far. With Alan also hitting a 193 game in the same game, the Dominoes had a 504 handicap game, second in the team high scores list.

Last week's leaders Duo followed the other early leaders in this league by staying at the top for just one week. They fall three places after losing to Self Inflicted, who jump two places to second. Your Balls! are the new leaders in their second time at the top and Dominoes rise two places to third. The Owls, who bowled well in losing 12-0 to Dominoes, slip three places to fifth.

Richard Springthorpe again improved his high series for this league (+19 to 440 (587)) and the Glitter Girls both had new high games and series; Kim +18 to 185 and +30 to 464 (632) and Janet +5 to 161 and +3 to 428 (584). John Bodicoat had a new high game, +6 to 199.

The league scratch average fell by another 0.1 to 146.7

Still very close at the top of the table and only four points separate first from fourth. Positions in the table are still volatile and there continues to be big changes in position. Duo are the new leaders, climbing three places after beating Dominoes. They lead by one point from last week's leaders, The Owls who lost 8-4 to third place Your Balls! Self inflicted rise one to fourth at the expense of Dominoes who slip three places to fifth.

Another low scoring week this week: only three bowlers over 500 (Richard Lester was top scorer with 522 (606 with handicap) but this week there were three 200+ games - Steve Emmony scoring 222 (247) which included 6-in-a-row at the start of the game. Again this week, 10 players ended the night with averages at least 1 pin lower than last week while another 8 had smaller reductions.

Richard Springthorpe and Mike Davies had new high series for this league.

Janet Neale successfully dealt with a 5-6-10 split.

Last weeks top teams, Your Balls and Self Inflicted, both lost heavily and slip down the table while The Owls and Dominoes picked up all the points and rise two and three places respectively to the top two places. The Owls have a four point margin to second and a five point gap to three teams in third (Your Balls, Duo and Self Inflicted)

A generally very low scoring week this week with only two bowlers over 500 (Alan Barton with 562 (616 with handicap) the top scratch scorer) and no games at all over 200. No fewer than 15 players ended the night with averages at least 1 pin lower than last week.

The exception to this however was Anita Highton who continues to improve after injury and tonight bowled a 461 series (656) including a 197 game (262). Both handicap scores are the second best in the league to date. Neil Taylor improved his high game by 11 to 199 - the best scratch score tonight and Mary Grayson improved her best game by 9 to 194 (233).

New league leaders this week as Your Balls! go top on pinfall over Self Inflicted after an inspired 12-0 win over Turkeys. These two have a seven point margin over The Owls in third place and another three to fourth place Duo.

Your Balls!, Neil Taylor and John Bodicoat, take most of the honours tonight with all of the high team scores. Neil improved his high score for this league by 68 to 554 (653 with handicap) and John improved by 73 to 537 (645)

Self Inflicted retain the top spot in the league, despite losing 4-8 to bottom team The Models. Their lead is cut to two points however from new second place Your Balls. It is very close for third with three teams on four points behind second place and another two teams who are six points behind.

Martin Cook and the Turkeys feature in most of the high score lists this week: Martin had the best scratch scores - 548 series (626 with handicap) and 235 (261) and the Turkeys had the high team series, 989 (1,175) Mary Grayson had her first 500 series for some time, 505 (631 - best handicap series this week)

Other new highs for the league so far for: Rose Barton (+36 to 477), Paul Simmons (+24 to 442) and Tony Pearce (+23 to 431)

John Bodicoat (Your Balls) was successful with a 5-10 split

Slightly more stablility at the top of the table with three of last week's top four staying near the top. Self Inflicted hold on to top spot with an 10-2 win over Termikes while Brothers Grimm improve one place to second by taking all the points form the Models. Your Balls move up a place to third at the expense of the under-strength Owls who drop six places to 8th.

Liz Lake (Hit & Miss) heads most of the individual and team high score lists this week after an excellent personal best game of 247 (285 with handicap) and a 642 handicap series. Steve Emmony and Terry Highton had the best scratch series, both hitting 530.

Brothers Grimm set new high team series scores for the league so far with 1,038 (1,224).
