The Owls Return...

In the last week before the final position night, several teams had a chance to get into a strong position for the league title. The top three all blew it though: Owls lost 12-0 to Hit & Miss, Mac Too only took two points from Balls Up, Lightning Strikes only four from Glitter Girls. Only Duo in fourth could win tonight: 8-4 against Timber to move up to second place. In spite of losing, Owls hold on to top spot on pinfall. There is only one point between first and third and another three to sixth place, so the league title is open to anyone.

LAPD Mk2 waited until the final stages of the league to produce a high scoring win, 12-0 against Brothers Grimm, and take several spots in the high scoring lists. They take the best team handicap series and Sarah Standley hit the best individual handicap series - 697. Sarah improved her high game by 42 to 176 and high series by 111 to 496 while her partner Nicola Rye-Holland hit her first 500 series of the league with a 512 (620 with handicap).

Steve Emmony was top scorer with 513 (606) with Nicola second. There weren't any 200+ games this week.

Janet Neale improved her high series for the league this week by 16 to 440 (611). Liz Lake also improved her best series, by 26 to 464 (617) and Richard Springthorpe hit a new high game and high series +42 to 459 (621). Diane MacFarlane improved her high game by 5 to 173.

Keith MacFarlane converted a 5-10 split.

The league scratch average improved by 0.4 to 142.4
