First Arrow>>> increased their lead over their nearest rivals to 12 points and with only 2 weeks to go now look uncatchable. This week they beat The Owls 10-2 while Skittle Cuttlers, last week's second place, could only manage a draw against Gutterballs. The chasing teams keep their positions and Pure Magic, who now have a game in hand probably have the best chance of catching the Byrnes.

    Most bowlers struggled to bowl their averages and there were few good scores.Pat Byrne was again top scorer with 573 (624 with handicap) including a 204 game, one of only two games over 200. Karen Byrne and Matt Titchard were the only others to break 500 tonight. Matt had the best scratch game with 207 (231)

    
    Mary Grayson was again the best split converter with a 5-10 this week.  The league average fell by 0.5 to 144.8

    With a comprehensive 12-0 win over their nearest rivals X Factor, First Arrow improved their lead at the top of the table to 12 points. With 3 weeks to go they already look like the winners. X Factor drop to fourth place behind Skittle Scuttlers who beat Mac Too 12-0 and Pure Magic who had an 8-0 win over Gutterballs.

    The heat in the Centre seemed to affect many bowlers but Pat Byrne was yet again top scorer with 562 (616 with handicap) including a 210 game. Not far behind was Elaine Standley who improved her high score for the league with 542 (638). Elaine also had a 208 game (240). Richard Lester hit a 539 series (587) including the best game of the night, 214. Paul Wilkinson (Brewin!) increased his best ever game score by 28 with 187 (246 - the best of the night) and his best series by 54 to 425 (602).

3-7-10.  The league average fell by 0.2 to 145.3.

    First Arrow were held to a 6-6 draw this week but second place X Factor were unable to take full advantage only winning 7-5 against Julie Wilkins. Pure Magic move ahead of Skittle Scuttlers after their 12-0 win over LAPD.

    Only two 500+ series this week: Pat Byrne was again top scorer with 569 (629 with handicap) including the only game over 200, 233 (253), and Matt Titchard scored 514 (589). Tony Pearce had the second best handicap series, 609 and Lesley Reeday was third with 603.

    
    Elaine Standley was successful with a 2-4-10 split. Even though there were few high scores the league average remained at 145.5.

    Five players exceeded the 500 mark tonight; Pat Byrne was top scorer with 546 (609 with handicap). Brian Hipwell had an excellent first game and the highest in the league so far of 240 (282) and ended with a 527 series (653).

    Kaz Byrne was again top scorer with 536 (590 with handicap) and Malc Congreve scored 530 (572), neither player hitting a 200 game. Four other players exceeded 500. Only two 200+ games - Matt Titchard was the highest with 212 (238).

    With a 10-2 win over Brewin! tonight and a 6-6 draw with Duo from last week, First Arrow>>> go back to their customary position at the top of the table. Duo also picked up 16 points to go second after beating last weeks leaders, Pure Magic, 10-2. Pure Magic slip back to 5th after also being overtaken by Mac Too and X Factor.

    Four players exceeded the 500 mark; Kaz Byrne the best with 578 (662 with handicap) including a 200 game (one of only 2 scored tonight). Des Sands continued his recent run of good form to score 553 (634), including a 209 game. Richard Lester also scored 553 (601) and Keith MacFarlane hit a 547 (616).

    Richard Springthorpe (Camp David) produced the best handicap game of 241.

     Barry Norris (Kim Deal) was successful with a 4-7-10 split, Elaine Standley converted a 3-6-4-7 and Richard Springthorpe got a 5-7 split.
    The league average rose sharply by 1.2 pins to 146.8.

     In the absence of last weeks leaders Pure Magic leapt from 6th to first with a
12-0 win over Camp David. Mac Too jump to second with a 10-2 win over Wilkos.

    Few high scores this week but a high quality series from Malc Congreve was the bright spot. His 608 (656 with handicap) included the only 2 games over 200 tonight, 208 and 207 and he goes to the top of the high series tables for the league so far.

    Matt Titchard was the only other player over 500 with 519 (600)

     Keith MacFarlane was successful with a 5-8-10 split.
    The league average fell slightly to 145.6.
